Plant based sweeteners are found in nature. Stevia Extract and Monk Fruit were the only natural sweeteners until recently. Both of these sweeteners are both so strong and have non-sugar-like taste. Most people cannot tolerate the after-taste of pure stevia or monk fruit. Therefore, they are usually accompanied by fillers and maskers.

Allulose is the new plant based sweetener. It is a rare sugar that exists in nature in small amounts. In fruits such as grapes, figs, corns Allulose exists. The process of extraction is favorable as it is just fermentation.

The main benfit of Allulose is that it tastes exactly like sugar since it's made from sugar. One thing negative about allulose is that it is way more expensive than any other sweeteners and it is rather hard to obtain in manufacturing quantities.

Awesome chocolates !!

Unbelievable to find health conscious chocolates, and especially ones that taste, look and feel like they’re made the old fashioned way (you know, sugars and all that), but are actually good for you. Finally a keto chocolate that I like!

This chocolate is really better than the other keto options on the market. Allulose doesn't have the (in my mind) bad aftertaste that others have so eating this chocolate is great. It is very dark, so you do get the full cocoa taste without being too bitter. I thought I'd need the coconut or hazelnut to "make it better" but I actually like the plain dark chocolate as much as the other options. I got the chocolate chips as well and it's great for keto baking. I'm not going back to other types of chocolate chips after this.

Game Changer

I have been looking for alternatives to sugar for a long time, but most things I find have that horrible aftertaste from artificial sweeteners.
